MY VISION
I'm an interpreter and I've been interpreting now for nearly twelve years. I love it and I love providing a much needed service to the community.

I have always enjoyed helping others. Almost every job I've ever had focused on customer service. I worked as a customer service specialist for various companies here in the Richmond area. While I worked to improve the client experience I also worked on my love of languages. I saw a need to provide a trusting interpreting experience locally with a focus on quality instead of quantity. I don't take on work to hand it over to "interpreters" with unknown language ability. Any interpreters I use are hand selected by myself and I work to make sure they are fully prepared for every encounter. I believe training is of the upmost importance. I don't exclude myself from this standard. Soon after I started interpreting I found out about VCU's Spanish/English Translating and Interpreting program and quickly enrolled. I wanted to prepare myself fully for this role. I continued to work hard to sharpen my interpreting skills through self-study and I went on to accept a position as an on-call hospital interpreter with a large Trauma I hospital in central Virginia. I didn't rest there but wanting to push myself even further I signed up for further training and more recently became a Certified Medical Interpreter.

I want to thank you for taking the time to look for an interpreter. Unfortunately, many leave it to clients and patients to engage untrained yet loving family members and friends for their interpretation needs. If you needed a family member by your side during an appointment it would be to provide you with emotional support and to help you make decisions. You wouldn't want to worry about missing out on crucial information because your child was unfamiliar with medical vocabulary nor would you want your privacy compromised during an examination, if you know what I mean. Please send us a message below or call to schedule an interpreter. Thanks!
